After experiencing the effects of a badly designed hospital first hand, industrial designer Christoph Thetard decided to dedicate his time to radically reframing the way we approach health spaces. In this talk, he illustrates how great spatial design goes hand in hand with the design of services, furniture, and even clothing.
Christoph Thetard is the founder of siebenkommadrei, a company for patient-centered design with the goal to make hospitals more human, and lives better for patients, family members and employees. In his work, he combines Design Thinking with expertise in patient experience and healing environments. Before that, Christoph ran Studio Montag, an industrial design studio which focused on user-centered, sustainable product and service design for seven years. Christoph holds a degree in product design from Bauhaus-University in Weimar.
